Prabhas Fans Face Another Wait as Spirit Release Shifts

When it comes to Pan-India star Prabhas’ films, the situation has reached a point where postponements seem inevitable. Even after the release date was officially announced, Fauzi, which was scheduled to hit theatres on December 3 this year, has been postponed once again. Now, another Prabhas film has joined the list. In short, Prabhas’ Spirit will not be released on the previously announced date. Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was initially announced for release in March 2027. However, the film’s team announced a new release date on Sunday. According to the announcement, Spirit has been rescheduled for October 29, 2027. This means the film is now set to reach audiences during next year’s Diwali. A poster announcing the new release date has also been released.
In other words, there is still a full year to go before Spirit hits theatres. Triptii Dimri is playing the female lead opposite Prabhas in the film. Initially, popular Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was selected for the role. However, she was later dropped reportedly because she made demands regarding working hours and several other matters. Triptii Dimri was brought on board in her place. Another film starring Prabhas, Fauzi, was initially announced for release in December this year. A poster featuring the release date was also released. However, the film’s release has already been postponed once again. Although there has been no official announcement, the film, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is also likely to be released next year. The film is being produced by leading production house Mythri Movie Makers.
