Pawan Kalyan Says Yes to New Film After Becoming Deputy CM
X

After completing his pending films, many believed that Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan would not take up any new movies. During the promotions of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Pawan Kalyan announced that he was leaving films for politics. He also said that he was not taking up any new projects. Like many other political leaders, Pawan Kalyan has changed his words not only regarding films but also on several other matters. He had earlier stated that unlike other leaders, he has no businesses, and that films alone are the source to run his party and meet other expenses. However, setting aside his earlier statement, Pawan Kalyan has now given the green signal to a new film. Even though it is being said that this is a project he had approved earlier, this is the first film to be officially announced after he became Deputy Chief Minister.

The director of this film is Surender Reddy, while the producer is Ram Talluri. The producer officially announced this new film on the occasion of the New Year. The film will be produced under the Jaitra Ram Movies banner. Until now, many believed that if at all Pawan Kalyan got time, it would be a sequel to OG, which achieved a good box office success last year. But going against all expectations, he has given the nod to director Surender Reddy’s project. Last year, Pawan Kalyan completed the shoots of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, OG, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which had been stuck in pending stages. It is known that Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG were released last year itself.

While Hari Hara Veera Mallu faced a disastrous result at the box office, OG emerged as a super hit in terms of collections. It created a record as the film that achieved a worldwide gross of ₹300 crore in Pawan Kalyan’s career. Meanwhile, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which has already completed shooting and is ready for release, is likely to be released in March or April. Tollywood sources say that this will depend on the release date of Ram Charan’s film Peddi. However, details about when the shooting of the new film will begin and information regarding other cast members will be revealed soon.
