Tarun Bhascker’s “Gayapadda Simham” Makes Surprise OTT Entry

Director and actor Tarun Bhascker has been focusing more on acting than directing in recent times. A series of films featuring him as the lead actor have hit the box office lately. After Donald Trump became the President of the United States for the second time, several of his policy decisions reportedly created difficulties for many Indian software employees as well as students studying in America. With the film unit promoting “Gayapadda Simham” as a movie targeting Trump and his policies, the film managed to generate considerable buzz before its release. However, it failed to achieve the expected success at the box office.

Along with Tarun Bhascker, actresses Faria Abdullah and Manasa Choudhary played the female leads in the movie. The film, which was released in theatres on May 1, has now quietly made its way to OTT without much publicity. The movie is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Amazon has announced that the film is available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages. This comedy-drama was directed by newcomer Kashyap Srinivas. Despite the pre-release hype, the film failed to perform well at the box office. It now remains to be seen how audiences will receive it on OTT platforms. Popular actor J. D. Chakravarthy also played an important role in the movie.
