Bollywood Roars Back with Durandhar

While South Indian films have been creating a storm at the national level for some time now, Bollywood films have been faltering at the box office. It is well known that even prominent Bollywood personalities have openly acknowledged this fact. At such a time, the film Durandhar has brought new enthusiasm to the Bollywood box office. Responding to the criticisms that have been coming for a long time, the film Durandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has registered several records. Released without any expectations, the movie not only achieved a sensational success but also created a sensation by collecting as much as ₹1,400 crore at the box office. The film was released worldwide on December 5 last year. The action of Ranveer Singh, along with Akshaye Khanna who played the villain, greatly impressed audiences.

Durandhar secured the fourth position in the list of highest-grossing Indian films to date. Released only in the Hindi language, this film also created a record by becoming the second movie to collect such a massive amount. After creating a storm at the worldwide box office, the film is now making its way to OTT. That too from January 30. The movie will be streaming on the popular OTT platform Netflix. However, there is still no clarity on whether it will stream only in Hindi on OTT or be available in other languages as well. It remains to be seen how many records Durandhar will break on OTT after its sensational box office success. Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal played key roles in this film as well.
