Initially, Deepika was considered for the lead role in Spirit, a film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga with Prabhas in the lead. However, as she laid down several conditions, she was dropped from the project, and Triptii Dimri was selected as the heroine for Spirit. Director Sandeep Reddy officially announced this. Now, an interesting update has emerged regarding Deepika Padukone. She has been finalized as the heroine in the upcoming film featuring Allu Arjun and director Atlee. The film unit officially confirmed this on Saturday by releasing a video announcement.

There are already high expectations for the Atlee-Allu Arjun film, and with Deepika joining the cast, the buzz around the movie has further intensified. Allu Arjun has already earned significant popularity in Bollywood with Pushpa and Pushpa 2. With Deepika Padukone pairing up with him, the anticipation around the film is expected to rise even more. This will be Allu Arjun’s 22nd film. The movie is being produced by Sun Pictures. It is also known that Deepika is acting in Kalki, a film directed by Nag Ashwin.
