Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 Release Postponed

The speculation has turned out to be true. The release of Akhanda 2 Tandavam has been postponed. The film unit officially announced this on Thursday. Initially, the Balakrishna–Boyapati Srinu combination film was scheduled to be released on September 25, targeting the Dasara holidays. On the same day, the makers of Pawan Kalyan’s film OG had also announced its release. Because of this, there had been continuous speculation that one of the two films would inevitably be postponed. Now, with the postponement of Akhanda 2, it appears certain that OG will celebrate a solo run during the Dasara holidays.

Expectations on this film are also on a high scale. The film unit stated that the release of Akhanda 2 had to be postponed because complete attention still needs to be given to re-recording, VFX, and the entire post-production process. Since Akhanda was a super hit, expectations on Akhanda 2 have risen significantly, and the team revealed that they are preparing this film without compromising on audience expectations. They also mentioned that a new release date will be announced soon. For the past few days, both the Akhanda 2 unit and the OG unit had been saying that there would be no change in their release dates. But now Akhanda 2 has stepped back.
