Update: 2025-11-11 14:32 GMT

As the Congress government in Telangana is about to complete two years in power, the Jubilee Hills by-election has generated intense curiosity and excitement among everyone. It is known that the by-election was necessitated due to the untimely demise of BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath. Immediately after polling concluded on November 11 (Tuesday), several exit polls were released. All of them clearly indicated that the ruling Congress party is poised to win this seat. The ruling Congress made every possible effort to secure this seat and demonstrate that its government remains strong and unshaken, while the opposition BRS put in all its efforts to retain its sitting seat.

After the polling ended and the exit polls were made public, the results mirrored the campaign trend — indicating that the ruling Congress is likely to capture the seat. The official counting will be held on November 14, when the final results and the majority margins will be revealed. The selection of the Congress candidate, along with the MIM’s support to the ruling party in this election, proved advantageous for Congress. According to exit polls, if Congress indeed wins this seat, it will undoubtedly give a significant boost to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Interestingly, all pre-election surveys had predicted that the opposition BRS would win. But once the polling ended, the trend appears to have shifted in favor of the ruling Congress, reports say.
