US F-35 Jets Downed, War Escalates

Update: 2026-04-03 15:02 GMT

Despite intense attacks by the United States and Israel, Iran is retaliating with equal force, giving a tough fight to the global superpower. At the same time, it continues to strike Israel without any pause. In a recent development, the US and Israel destroyed one of Iran’s largest bridges, considered the biggest in West Asia. These attacks have gained significance after US President Donald Trump announced that the intensity of strikes on Iran would increase in the coming days. He had earlier stated that bridges would be targeted first, followed by attacks on Iran’s power infrastructure. In response, Iran released a list of targets it would strike if such attacks continued. Meanwhile, retaliating against US and Israeli actions, Iran has also launched attacks on oil refineries in the Gulf region.

A major development in this conflict is that Iran reportedly shot down an advanced US F-35 fighter jet. With this, Iran is said to have downed two powerful American F-35 jets so far. There are reports that the pilot of the recently downed jet has been captured by Iranian forces. At the same time, there are also speculations that the pilot might have died in the crash. However, the United States has not issued any official statement on this matter. Iran, on the other hand, stated that it intercepted an aircraft that entered its airspace using its advanced air defense system in central Iran. Additionally, Iran is reported to have severely damaged a highly expensive US radar system. With the loss of two F-35 jets and radar systems, reports suggest that Iran is inflicting significant financial damage on the United States.

Gulf countries supporting the US are also reportedly paying a heavy price due to Iranian strikes. As Donald Trump warned that the conflict could intensify further in the coming days, reports of actions being taken against key military officials in the US have created a stir. His decisions are said to be shocking many. Experts believe that there are currently no clear signs of the US exiting this war with dignity.
