MLC Kavitha has been suspended from the BRS. To this effect, the party leadership officially released a statement on Tuesday. It is well known that for the past few days, MLC Kavitha has been making severe criticisms against the party leadership. After her letter to KCR came out, she reacted seriously, making sensational allegations that there were “demons” beside KCR. At that time, this created a huge uproar. Recently, with the Telangana government handing over the probe into the Kaleshwaram scam to the CBI, Kavitha made sensational remarks, alleging that Harish Rao, Santosh Rao, and Megha Krishna Reddy were the main reasons behind KCR’s corruption stain. She also claimed that this was the reason why, after coming back to power for the second time, Harish Rao was not given the Irrigation Ministry. This pushed the BRS into a major political dilemma.
Following her statements, KCR held multiple meetings with party leaders. Now, orders have been issued suspending her from the party. The statement read as follows: “The recent behavior and anti-party activities of MLC Kavitha are in a manner that is damaging to the BRS party. The party leadership is treating this matter very seriously. Party President K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to suspend Kavitha from the party with immediate effect,” the announcement was issued in the names of party general secretaries Soma Bharat and T. Ravinder Rao. However, so far, none of the party leaders have given a counter to the corruption allegations made by her, which has itself become a topic of discussion within the party.
