They are promoting the idea that Andhra Pradesh means Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh. They are also boasting that, because of their brand image, huge investments have been pouring into the state over the past eighteen months. However, they do not highlight much the fact that, in a manner not seen anywhere else in the country, land is being given away at the rate of 22 acres for one rupee and 20 acres for 99 paise. Not only are lands being given at such extremely cheap rates, but incentives and concessions are also being offered exactly as demanded by companies. Even this is not enough—the government is not hesitating to even change policies to provide further incentives.
As usual, this year too, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh, Industries Minister T. G. Bharat, along with a team of officials, are set to go to Davos. A government order related to this has already been issued. Now, for advertisements in 20 pages of comprehensive information in the Business Today Multiverse magazine at the World Economic Forum meeting to be held in Davos, the Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders allocating ₹30 lakh. GST will be additional to this amount. Accordingly, Chief Secretary S. Suresh Kumar issued a GO on Wednesday. This may not stop here. It is being said that more such GOs may be issued in the coming days. Last year as well, lakhs of rupees were released for promotions on several national business channels.
