Pawan Kalyan's 'Modi Will Lose Power Only If He Wants' Remark Sparks Debate!

In both the country and the state, the power to change a government rests solely with the people and the votes they cast. However, Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made what many are describing as unusual and controversial remarks during the inauguration of Bhogapuram International Airport on Saturday. As long as you continue working for the nation, we will all stand with you. No one can equal your hard work, sacrifices and commitment to the country."

Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan are free to support any political leader of their choice. However, in a democracy, whether at the state or national level, governments lose power if the people decide they no longer want them. Against this backdrop, Pawan Kalyan's statement that Prime Minister Modi would lose power only if he himself wished to give it up has sparked debate over what exactly he intended to convey. After all, would any political leader voluntarily say they no longer want to remain in power? Political circles are now debating the message Pawan Kalyan intended to send through these remarks. There is also growing discussion that his comments could raise questions about the functioning of the country's electoral system.

                                     During the same event, Pawan Kalyan said that he was moved to tears and felt heartbroken when young people allegedly abused Prime Minister Modi at Jantar Mantar. Critics argue that he did not express similar emotion when the NEET paper leak controversy led to the reported suicides of several students. According to his critics, by saying he was saddened only by the criticism directed at Modi, Pawan Kalyan appeared to side with the government accused over the paper leak rather than with the affected students. At the same time, both Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan remained silent over the reported police action against protesters at Jantar Mantar. They also did not comment on the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Critics question why the Union Minister would have resigned if the Modi government had committed no mistake in the NEET issue. They argue that Pawan Kalyan's remarks placed the blame entirely on the protesting youth while ignoring this aspect.

                                            Following the speeches delivered by both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan at the Bhogapuram Airport inauguration, social media witnessed a wave of criticism. Even some supporters of the TDP and Jana Sena expressed the view that the praise showered on Prime Minister Modi at the event had gone overboard. At a time when, according to some political observers, opposition to Prime Minister Modi is increasing across the country, the extensive praise from key Andhra Pradesh leaders has raised concerns among leaders of the respective parties about its possible political impact. Another point drawing attention in Andhra Pradesh politics is that while TDP and Jana Sena, both NDA allies, openly praised Prime Minister Modi, the opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has also extended strong support to him. While TDP and Jana Sena remained silent on Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed the Union Education Minister's resignation, stating that he had accepted responsibility for the NEET paper leak.
