Revanth Govt Ad Row: Industries Minister Missing!

Update: 2025-12-08 05:04 GMT

Showcasing the Future City and aiming to secure massive investments for Telangana—especially Hyderabad—the Revanth Reddy government is grandly organizing the Global Summit. Huge arrangements have been made for this conference scheduled on December 8–9. In every way, after the Municipal Administration department that is held by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the most crucial department in this summit is undoubtedly the Industries Department. This is because the very purpose of this summit is to present the land available in the Future City, attract investments, and explain the facilities the government is planning to provide. Regarding the Telangana Rising Global Summit, the Telangana government issued full-page advertisements in newspapers on Monday. Everything was showcased lavishly in these ads. However, the key point here is that along with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the photos of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka were also included. There is nothing wrong with that. But they missed including the photo of D. Sridhar Babu, the Industries Minister, who is the most crucial figure for this global summit.

This has now become a hot topic not only within Congress circles but also within government circles. In one word, discussions are going on that this is an insult to Industries Minister Sridhar Babu. Observers are commenting that this approach suggests Revanth Reddy is walking the same path as former CM KCR. Congress leaders are criticizing that while organizing a global summit meant for securing investments, excluding the Industries Minister’s photo is totally inappropriate. Even during the BRS regime, they mostly carried KCR's or KTR's photos, giving little space to other ministers. And now, comments are circulating that Revanth Reddy too seems to be following the same model. Whichever way you look at it, Sridhar Babu, who holds the Industries as well as IT departments, is extremely crucial for this summit. There is also discussion in government circles that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is running this entire affair under the direction of a senior IAS officer in the CMO, who previously faced major corruption allegations in the past government and is now again wielding influence.

Because of that, Sridhar Babu is not being given due importance, it is being said. The same IAS officer reportedly controlled everything during the BRS era and is now said to have the same influence in Revanth Reddy’s administration as well. Government circles also say that this same IAS officer played a key role in the Hyderabad Industrial Lands Transformation Policy (HILT), which has been creating political uproar in Telangana over the past few days. It is rumored that after preparing everything behind the scenes along with a key leader, that IAS officer brought the matter to light. At the same time, several ministers are furious over the actions being carried out jointly by that key leader and the senior IAS officer. There is also talk that, judging by Revanth Reddy’s recent behavior, his attitude seems to have changed after the Jubilee Hills by-election outcome. With the Congress high command in Delhi currently being extremely weak, a Congress leader commented that the "real Revanth Reddy" is now coming out.
