Chandrababu, Lokesh Ready for Davos 2026

Update: 2025-12-08 11:12 GMT

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is once again getting ready for a trip to Davos. As usual, IT Minister Nara Lokesh and Industries Minister T.G. Bharat are also part of the team accompanying Chandrababu. From January 19 to 23 next year, they will all participate in the World Economic Forum conference taking place in Switzerland. The government has stated that excluding the travel time, all of them will attend the conference from January 19 to 23. The government issued a GO on Monday regarding their tour. Along with Chandrababu and the ministers, CMO Secretary Karthikeya Mishra, Industries Department Secretary Yuvaraj, and Industries Department Director Shubham Bansal are also part of this team. It is well known that every year, without fail, CM Chandrababu Naidu participates in the Davos meetings.

Chandrababu, Nara Lokesh, and T.G. Bharat also took part in the Davos meeting held this January. Unlike previous years, this time the Andhra Pradesh government could not secure any major agreements at Davos. Another key point here is that while the Telangana government secured agreements worth nearly ₹70,000 crore at Davos, the Andhra Pradesh government returned without any such deals. To cover this up, they claimed that Davos is not a platform for making agreements, but only a connecting center. Recently, the government conducted a massive partnership summit in Visakhapatnam and officially announced that MoUs worth over ₹13 lakh crore in investments were signed. Many officials believe that even if half of these materialize, it would count as a significant achievement. Officials are also commenting that after already conducting such a huge summit and signing agreements within the state, it is unclear why they are again going to Davos as usual.
