TDP MLA Revanth Reddy gets bail

Cash-for vote scam accused and Telugu Desam MLA, A. Revanth Reddy was granted conditional bail today by the High Court of Hyderabad. Yesterday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau special court has extended the judicial custody of the accused in the cash-for-vote case, including Reddy, till July 13.The three accused in the case — Mr Reddy, Bishop Harry Sebastian and Uday Simha — were produced in the court after they were brought from Cherlapally Jail.

The Telangana Advocate General Ramkrishna Reddy argued against granting him bail. However, the judge felt there is no need to continue him in jail as record of statements of main witnesses were completes and audio and video witnesses are under ACB custody.The High Court asked them to surrender their pass port and said Revanth Reddy should not leave Hyderabad, besides his constituency Kondangallu.
