The low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal and the upper air circulation close to west central Bay of Bengal close to North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coast has enhanced the Monsoon activity in Andhra Pradesh. The east coast of the country from Tamil Nadu to Odisha is experiencing fairly widespread and moderate to light rainfall for the last 24 hours.
The intensity of rain was heavy to very heavy over Coastal Andhra Pradesh in some pockets due to the upper air circulation which has now induced a low pressure area over Bay of Bengal off South Odisha and North Andhra Coast.
According to the Met Department’s predictions the low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal off South Odisha and North Andhra Coasts will possibly become well-marked in the next 24 hours. It will move west-northwestward and bring fairly widespread rains over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, southern parts of Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Vidarbha. Already Coastal Andhra is experiencing good amount of rains while Rayalaseema and Telangana regions have scattered falls during the last 24 hours.
