Modi pays rich tribute to ‘iron man’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi todau paid rich tribute to the first deputy prime minister of the country Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 141st birth anniversary. The day is being celebrated as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ (National Unity Day).

“I bow to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. We recall his rich contribution to India,” Modi said on his official Twitter handle. He also offered floral tributes at Sardar Patel’s statue at Patel Chowk in Delhi’s Parliament Street.
