Modi asks Rlys for zero accident target

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked railways to work towards achieving the zero accident target to make train journey safe. He made this remark at Rail Vikas Shivir at Surajkund on the outskirts of Delhi where he along with Railwaymen observed two minute silence to condole the loss of lives.

He was given thematic presentations on various aspects of the Railways. The aim of the three day Shivir, organised by Indian Railways was to generate innovative ideas across most critical areas of Railway Operations for substantial progress of this sector.

Modi said the Railways have to be developed and made financially strong for the benefit of the country and particularly those working for the Railways.
