Following two day uproar in the Telangana Assembly on the issue of fee reimbursement, amidst protest from the opposition benches, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao assured that the government would clear the fee reimbursement dues by March 31. Replying to the apprehensions raised by the Opposition over the delay in clearing fee sops, Chief Minister said that orders have been already issued to clear the fee sop dues for the year 2014-15.
He said that the government would take all steps to ensure that the scheme is implemented in a transparent manner and assured the students not to worry over the issue. Admitting that the government was facing some difficulties in implementation of the scheme, the Chief Minister said that the government would plug out the irregularities in the implementation of the scheme and added that an all party meeting would be conducted on the issue soon to address all issues concerning the scheme.
To a question by BJP floor leader G. Kishan Reddy that some colleges were not releasing certificates to students due to non-payment of fee, the Chief Minister assured that the government would act against those colleges and assured that the issue would be addressed soon. The opposition also boycotted the session accusing that they were denied to seek clarifications on the issue.
