Probably for the first time, Telugu Desam Party’s annual convention three-day Mahanadu started yesterday in Visakhapatnam with out representation from the family of party’s founder Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. No `Nandamuri’ is seen on the dais, surprising several party leaders.
More prominently, the absence of film star and Hindupuram MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is cached the attention of every one. Party leaders felt he may be busy with his film shooting. Some even felt that he might have avoided the first day show so that to ensure that his son-in-law and Chief Minister N T Rama Rao’s son Nara Lokesh may be on lime light.
Though no one took it serious about the absence of NTR’s another son and party’s polit bureau member Nandamuri Harikrishna. He is a former Rajya Sabha member also. Party sources said he has already sent feelers about his unwillingness to join the annual plenary -Mahanadu, as nobody was in touch with him from the party.
He expressed a kind of dissent, with his close associates very recently that the TDP leadership has been conveniently ignoring him, especially since the last one year. It is learnt that Harikrishna was annoyed as there was no proper communication from the party, about various developments related to the politburo.
