BJP has rejected opposition demand for resignation of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan following the series of mysterious deaths related to Vyapam scam. The party also said the state government has no hesitation to submit the case to CBI or any other agency but it can not take suo motu decision in this regard as the Jabalpur High Court monitored probe is on in the scam.
Party spokesperson G V L Narsimha alleged that Congress is attacking the Chief Minister out of desperation from continuous defeat in Madhya Pradesh. He said Mr Chouhan had himself brought the issue to the fore. The spokesperson pointed out that earlier Supreme Court had also said that SIT probe in the Vyapam scam is proceeding well.
Accusing the Congress of doing politics on the issue, Mr. Narsimha said BJP government in state is committed for free and fair probe in this irregularity.
