BJP floor-leader in Telangana Legislative Assembly G. Kishan Reddy today accused that there were numerous irregularities in employment of workers and other areas in Singareni Collieries. Participating in a discussion on the issue of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in the Assemlby, Reddy demanded the state government to initiate steps to plug out irregularities.
He said that the government should ascertain the number of employees working in the company and should suggested the government to appoint number employees than the number of workers retiring every year. He demanded the government to regularize the services of contract workers in the company. Expressing apprehensions that the company would face financial crisis, the BJP leader demanded the government to collect huge dues various organizations owe to the SCCL.
Kishan Reddy also demanded the government to initiate steps to increase production in less duration. He demanded the government to probe against the illegal transportation of material of the company worth over 100 crore every year. He also demanded the government to take steps to provide better medical facilities to workers whose health is deteriorating due to bad working conditions.
However, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao assured that efforts are going on to check such mall practices and already actions are being taken against those who found guilty.
